Teman Tanpabatas

Currently, there are many communities or organizations engaged in the care sector, especially social care. One of them is a community of  “Teman Tanpabatas”, this community has a contribution in providing a forum for activities for children with special needs or for people with disabilities, especially people with mental disabilities.

Mentally disabled or often called mental retardation is a condition in which a child has intellectual abilities that are below average. This condition occurs because the brain is not developing properly or is injured so that the brain cannot function properly.

The “Teman Tanpabatas” community has been established since September 11, 2017, which was initiated by a graduate of  the Bandung Institute of Technology named Gerry Bagus Karang. Initially, only Gerry did counseling at various special schools in Bandung. However, he invited some of his friends to join him,

and now this community already has a number of volunteers reaching four hundred people.

Gerry's motive makes this community very simple, that is, he just wants to do good in this world.

Then why did Gerry choose this community to care for children with disabilities, because children with disabilities have very complex problems, plus the environment and the surrounding community don’t care about children with disabilities. This community can also provide motivation to the surrounding environment to care for those who are different by doing activities with them.

With the activities provided to children with disabilities, it can give hope that children with disabilities can also achieve what they want even with their limitations. This community hopes that children with disabilities can express themselves far away. So, of course, many positive responses have also come to this community, starting from the community, parents of students to special school teachers.

As a gathering place or base camp itself, this borderless community of friends does not have a permanent gathering place. If there is a meeting or gathering, they usually look for a place and adjust it to their needs.

More Interestingly, they made "Tanpabatas Hijab" which is the result of a collaboration between the children of the Special School, and "Tanpabatas Hijab" which is managed by the "Teman Tanpabatas" community. So the hijab is designed from paintings of children with disabilities, and 100% of the profits will be donated to support community social programs.

Due to the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, of course some activities do not take place, but the “Teman Tanpabatas” community often holds webbinars.

Okay that's it, information about the “Teman Tanpabatas” community. To find out more, you can see the Instagram only. Thank you for reading my blog, I'm sorry if there are mistakes.

Stereotypes to Sundanese People

  1.        The Stereotype of Sundanese Women "Matre" or Materialistic     They have the most inherent negative stigma that they are materialistic women. Because of their gentle nature, and what they are when they say something, they are finally labeled as materialistic. In fact, some women   in the world are like that, it's just the way of conveying it that makes Sundanese people often called materialistic. However, there are also many Sundanese people who are realistic in a way that feels adequate, thinks long and realizes that the reality of life is not only about today. 2.     The Stereotype of Sundanese Women Don't Want to be Invited by Their Husbands to have a Difficult Life or Hard Life Historical example from Mrs. Inggit Garnasih, a native Sundanese woman from Banjaran. She was the wife of Bung Karno for a dozen years in very difficult conditions economically. Even  Mrs Inggit has to sell a lot of her belongings to support her husband's political career. H
